The cycling event began with the youngest participants taking on the road on tricycles, riding toys and walkers cheered by everyone around! They were followed by the young participants who rode cycles with support and showed their newly acquired skill. They were supported, helped, cheered and motivated by the volunteers, parents and onlookers. Most of them cycled harder and longer in the cheering and surprised even their families with their stamina! Finally the independent cyclists got ready and cycled towards their goal. Their confidence in cycling and enthusiasm in participation motivated parents of younger kids to raise the bar, and believe in the abilities of, and the possibilities for their child with the same condition. As the children finished cycling, they were welcomed into the garden. The volunteers were ready with balloons, games and music. The colourful gathering and the excitement created a lovely festive atmosphere. The next hour or more was spent playing interesting group games, resting in the warm sun and finally dancing with the young enthusiastic dance troupe from Dharohar Kathak Dance academy. The music loving children of all ages swayed to the beats of popular songs and had a gala time! The families interacted among themselves and made new friends over a nice hot lunch served by the Special Olympics team
